The emotional and psychological impact of poorly supported dyslexia
Report from the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Dyslexia and other SpLDs
Mr Sherin was representing Lyndhurst Dyslexia Centre at the meeting in the Houses of Parliament
Lyndhurst Primary School and Lyndhurst Dyslexia Centre were pleased and proud to host a delegation of Danish Head teachers on February 27, 2019. The project is entitled “No Child Left Behind”. The teachers were interested in and impressed by the exceptional inclusivity of Lyndhurst Primary School. Mr Hammill and Mr Sherin led a tour of the whole school to show off the fantastic work that happens here. Mr Sherin gave a presentation on how best to teach and support dyslexic learners in school. The visiting heads said they would try lots of our ideas when they returned to Denmark.
Last week Radio Club welcomed a special guest to Lyndhurst’s Dyslexia Centre! Sharon Hodgson is the Labour MP for Washington and Sunderland West, Shadow Public Health Minister and chairs the all Party Parliamentary Group on Dyslexia and SpLD. In this interview she gives us feedback on the centre, thoughts of dyslexia and her first impressions of Radio Club. Thanks to Sharon and Radio Club!
